When it comes to backyards and beautiful spaces to enjoy the sunshine, an absolute essential is a comfy chair you won’t want to leave. Spring is upon us and we’re hurtling towards summer, so now is a perfect time to get your outdoor seating sorted so you have a great place to sit and take it all in. So, I’ve collected my favorite outdoor seating options (chairs, sofas, etc.) for transforming your backyard, front yard, patio, or balcony.
The Acapulco Outdoor Collection
So light and airy, the Acapulco Outdoor collection has so many variations including a sofa, love seat, the chairs (pictured below from one of my favorite projects), and even a rocking chair! There are a ton of color options, such as the ombre look, so it’s a very adaptable collection that can easily fit into any backyard. It’s one of my all time favorites for simple, modern patio seating. Add a cushion and a cup of coffee and you’ve got the perfect place to sit and relax.
The Tropez Black and White Stripe Sofa
Yes, yes, yes! I love black and white and when it suits the client’s style, I try and sneak it in whenever possible. This sofa is bold, but perfectly matched to outdoor weather changes and making your backyard feel a little sea-side-French.
The Morning Dew Living Set
This simple set includes a loveseat, two chairs, and a table all in beautiful acacia wood. The plush cushions are a nice calming color and the overall look will do great in a boho chic setting, or can be adapted for a more modern look.
Hanging Chairs and Swings
The SUNCREAT Hammock Chair Swing is one of the best options for a hanging chair since it has a more casual aesthetic and comes in two different neutral colors. Swinging/hanging chairs are a totally fun way to sit and enjoy the outdoors. There is also the Bilbao Hanging Chair that comes on a stand, so if you don’t have a great ceiling or pergola to anchor a hanging chair (contact us to build you one ;) ) or use the Bilbao and place it wherever you like! No matter what the rest of your space looks like, hanging chairs are a completely unique way to add an extra seat. Throw some cushions in to make them extra cozy, and the perfect reading hideaway.
The Dot Chair
This is just a great outdoor dining chair. It has simple modern style, minimal decorative elements - just the polka-dot perforations on the back - and comes in an understated graphite, white or bright and playful colors so it goes with whatever outdoor vibe your heart desires!
Milano Collection
The Milano collection is super chic with a modern flair and has a super cozy look that I love for outdoor gathering places and even pool side. A super deep armchair with thick cushions and a wavey, whimsical armless chair are part of the collection, and both are made from durable, premium all-weather olefin rope and lend themselves perfectly to the addition of cushions.
Newport Collection
A little more modern and sleek, the Newport collection has an armchair and sofa that make a very uniform pair. For a more contemporary look, I definitely like these two pieces that can be gathered around a great fire pit for a s’mores night.
